The Montaro Helmet with MIPS is an MTB All-Rounder

The Montaro by Giro is a versatile MTB helmet with MIPS. The slim helmet shell extends further down the sides and back of the head to provide a larger protective surface. The Roc Loc Air adjustment system ensures a good fit and increased ventilation at the same time. Antimicrobial padding prevent the development of unpleasant perspiration odour. If you often wear goggles, you’ll love the non-slip zone at the back of the head. This keeps your goggle in place at all times. In addition, the helmet has an integrated holder for a helmet lamp or a camera.

Technology:

In-Mold Construction
The polycarbonate outer shell is glued to the EPS inner shell, which increases the resistance of the helmet. It also makes it easier to shape vents, which means that In-Mold designs typically have better ventilation systems and a lighter weight.

MIPS
MIPS stands for ” Multi Directional Impact Protection System” and refers to a movable protection layer consisting of three components: an EPS liner and low-friction liner, which are then connected by an elastomeric fastening system. This layer protects the brain from oblique impact. The principle of the natural low-friction layer of the brain is adapted in order to minimise the forces that occur.

P.O.V. Visor
The Point of View visor can be adjusted vertically by 15 degrees. It also prevents the visor from rattling.

Roc Loc Air
The size is adjusted in small steps with just two fingers. The ventilation of the helmet has been optimized. The helmet design creates an air cushion between the head and the helmet shell. This allows the airstream to flow without resistance and cool the head.

Roll Cage Reinforcement
Nylon incorporated directly into the EPS foam increases stability.

X-Static
Incorporated silver threads have an antibacterial effect, which prevents the formation of odours. In addition, the silver threads have cooling properties when warm and warming properties when cold.
